2. Correspondence from, and about A.E. ZIMMERN. 16 Feb. 1917-16 March 1919. Arrangements for a WEA meeting chaired by H.A.L. Fisher. Arrangements for an economics conference in Balliol. The formation of the "New Europe Society." Sending a memo on "The Soviet Government and British `Public' Opinion." Zimmern's nomination to a Chair of International Politics at Aberystwyth. 3 ALS, 5 TLS, printed invitation card, 2 TS leaves on the economics conference, TS memo on the Soviet Union (10L), TS reference for and CV of Zimmern by AS.

3. TLS from, TL copy of AS to C. Wizemann of the ZIONIST FEDERATION. 17 March 1919. Both 1L. Can AS sign a declaration supporting the reconstitution of Palestine as a Jewish homeland? AS declines to sign. With TS copy of the declaration (1L), xerox copies of the letters.
