The essentials of the Banister descent are as follows: Jasper Banister (living in 1669), gent.; he had issue including Jasper, below. Jasper Banister; he married (ca 1669), Mary, daughter of James Bisse, clothier, of Shepton Mallet, by whom he had issue including James, below. James Banister (d.1734), apothecary, of Bristol; he married (ca 1695) Edith Rogers (spinster of Pilton, Somerset), by whom he had issue including James, below. James Banister, merchant, of Bristol; he married (ca 1748) Anne Randolph, daughter of Herbert Randolph Esq, deceased, of the Cathedral precincts Canterbury, by whom he had issue including Jane (who married John Jenkyns: see Appendix A) and John (Rector of Iddesleigh, died 1822). |
